My Role

I came up with the original project idea and led a 4-person team through building it end to end. Beyond owning project planning and code integration in React and Node.js, I designed the concept behind the 7 aura categories myself, defining what each one represented and how it should feel to the user. My team and I built the classification logic using audio features Spotify exposes for each track: energy, valence, and tempo. We built the Express API routes that pull a user's real listening data from the Spotify Web API and fed it into that classification system.
